Sorry it's been a while since I've updated yall! We were super busy in Copenhagen and it was sooo hot in the rooms I really didn't want to be in there updating my blog. The last day in Copenhagen we visited both a castle and a palace. The palace was where the Royal family of Denmark lived! It was beautiful. And the palace was so incredibly big. We're now officially in London! We got in yesterday afternoon around one and it's so nice to finally settle in somewhere! Me and Jennifer got to eat lunch at Subway for lunch yesterday (even though I'm not sure they have a dollar foot long). After we ate lunch, we finally were able to buy cell phones. It's amazing how we managed for a week without them! And now that I'm not used to carrying it around, I seem to forget it everywhere I go. But it's so much easier to get a hold of everyone and make plans. After we got everything unpacked and situated, we had dinner at the college and then had a meeting to discuss our time in London. This morning was our first day of class... bummer. I sorta forgot that was the reason I came on this trip. Any way, the first day of class was super easy and I have a feeling it's going to be like that the rest of the time. Class is only 2 hours in the morning for 15 days. We get breakfast and dinner here at the college, but let's just say it's not the best. And probably worse than any camp food I've ever eaten (THATS BAD). This afternoon we went on a walking tour to familiarize ourselves with the city. It was wonderful! I feel so much better about knowing how to use the underground and the buses! After our walking tour, we ate sandwiches at this little sandwich shop and then walked for a little longer around town. We made our way to the grocery store this afternoon and bought some snacks and food. This afternoon I went for a run in Hyde Park. It was gorgeous! It's amazing how easy it is to run when you're surrounded by ducks, geese, ponds, and green grass. I leave to go to Ireland tomorrow for the weekend. Wish us luck for a better train ride than last week!
