This week has been so great yet so exhausting. I don't think I've been in my room for longer than 30 minutes or so at a time. Monday we visited Jaguar and were able to tour the plant where every Jaguar is made. After our visit there, we headed to Oxford and spent the rest of the afternoon. Oxford was a quaint college town with a wonderful atmosphere. We ate lunch at the whole in the wall sandwich shop that was recommended to us by my guidebook and it was such a fun little cafe. We toured many of the college campuses in Oxford including Europe's largest library and the Christ Church College where many of the scenes from Harry Potter came from. Tuesday we visited Burberry for my business class and both the CEO and another main guy spoke to us and told us a little about the company. After our visit there, we headed to Harrods to admire the high-life fashion. It was unbelievable the amount of people who were there, and the crazy clothes they had. Wednesday, me and Jennifer, played tourists in London for the day. We went to Buckingham palace to watch the changing of the guards, visited Westminster Abbey, saw Big Ben and Parliament, and toured the Tower of London. Needless to say, we were exhausted after an all day long adventure. My favorite part of the day was in the Tower of London where we got to see the Crown Jewels. The size of some of the diamonds was unreal. Last night, we went to a restaurant called the Texas Embassy. It's owned by Baylor grads and is a Mexican food place in London. It was GREAT for "London Mexican Food". It definitly hit the spot. After dinner, we went and rode the London Eye. We went around nine and were able to see the city during the sunset and then see it transform with lights. Today we had a tour of The Bank of England. I used the presentation as a nap time and way to catch up on all my sleep for the week, so I didn't really learn anything to be quite honest. After the Bank of England, we headed to Windsor to see the Windsor Castle. It's the queens summer residence and was unbelievably big. Now we're back in London for the night! This weekend should be nice and relaxing, I'm looking forward to having a little down time!
Love you!
Hillary
